Calcium sulfate is a salt used to increase the content of dissolved minerals in the water used for the production of beer.

Its use in particular, combined in the right ratio with calcium chloride, allows to balance the tastes, going to accentuate the malty notes, making the beer rounder.

Together with this, it allows to change the pH of the production water, bringing it closer to the ideal values for brewing.
