The history of Soci's:
the passion for beer becomes a business
Our story
From home brewing to booming breweries.
Partners in the ancient Venetian dialect, as well as partners in a business, are those who understand each other. And they understand it: those who share something they know a lot about.
In this name and in its background the origins of Soci’s are summarized: the habit of the inhabitants of the rural North-East of Italy to do everything by themselves, at home. Cured meats, wine, cider, grappa and distillates. There was no beer: a group of friends from the Treviso foothills inaugurated a new tradition and in 1993 became the Dea Bira Members, a famous club of pioneers of craft beer, which still exists.
For Paolo De Martin it all starts there: the basics of beer production learned from a historic collaborator of the Pedavena Brewery, the apprenticeship in Germany under the careful supervision of master brewer Wolfgang Laschinger, at the Brauerei Wimmer brewery/malthouse in Bruckberg, the university master’s degree in brewing technology, also in Germany, to Weihenstephan, which gives him the title of Master Brewer and Master Malter.
Followed by insights on styles, technologies, design and use of systems by visiting the cathedrals of beer from all over the world, treasuring every process, perfume and aroma.
With the first requests for consultancy from breweries – a sector in constant expansion since then – and equipment manufacturers, the game was done: the activity began, which in 2011 took on the current form of Soci’s.
Over the years, the wealth of company experience has increased, so much so that today Soci’s has designed, built and supplied over 300 systems, supporting the customer from the idea to the solution of the most unthinkable questions.
The consolidation also passes through the corporate structuring and the expansion of the infrastructures: the new logistics depot has recently been commissioned. To go further, to keep pace with customers and support them as we know how.
Soci’s is the Italian partner in the world of craft brewery and microbrewery. The most requested member.
